Hodo and Salma – Best friends

Hodo and Salma – Best friends

Today morning while we were inside I noticed two good friends spending their time with each other “hodo and salma”. They are good friends and they take care of each other.

After the lunch time we went outside and I noticed that Hodo and Salma like to slide together and they were holding their hands. I asked them “why are you holding your hands”? They answered me “because we love each other”. The photos below show how they are spending their time together, swinging together, sliding together and having fun with water together.

Review of learning: Friendship is an important part of the child development at preschool. It is good to manage and build their own identity, confidence and self-esteem. I am proud of you both Hodo and Salma. You both have a wonderful manners that make you best friends.

Next: I will encourage them to be involve with other children and improve your social skills and to be more self-confidence.

Digging a hole in the sandpit

Today morning while the children outside and after I sat up the sandpit for the kids, Hodo was very interested in playing in the sandpit. "You enjoyed touching and exploring the wonderful textures of the sand, can you make anything Hodo?"I asked,  by asking this question i encouraged her to create something with the sand, then she started digging a hole with her little hands , mashaallah you work very hard, " I'm making a hole, I'm making a hole" she shouted with a big smile , "would you like to  put anything in this hole,Hodo"? teacher asked, "Yes I will put a small toy here" she replied. After that I watched her closing the hole and she brought a tool and started digging the hole again. I asked her why you diging a hole again?  "To find a treasure teacher".

Review of learning: through this experience I observed Hodo as a learner about the properties of sand by feeling, touching, and digging the hole. You will sure strength your muscles as you moved the sand around and I think it's a good chance to Hodo work together with others.

What is next: I will support you Hodo how to be
creative and involve with others by improving your

  physical, cognitive, and social skills.

Hodo- play- soccer

Today morning while the children outside having lots of  fun, Hodo chose to play with the ball, "Hodo, are you  interested in playing soccer?"

I asked her, "yes teacher come on and playing with me", she replied, "sure Hodo, I would love to, let's start,  you will stand in front of the goal and try to move the ball and pass it to me,  it was not easy for her at the beginning , so I taught  her how she can do it. I asked Hodo  to kick the ball using her  feet, she keeps trying mashaallah and she have done very well. "Can you kick the ball again Hodo?" I asked, " Yes, I want to get a goal and I will be the winner". you seemed enjoying this game Hodo which is good .

Review of learning: through this game I observed Hodo as a confident and involved learner; you listened and followed clearly how to play soccer. I think this game will teach you how you can be a member of a team and how to build friendship .you were so eager to kick the ball, I could see how proud and happy you were with your game.

What is next: I will support hodo to develop her self-confidence as well as improved social skills.
